Maintenance overview
Planned maintenance keeps the mechanical and electrical condition of the motor under control before a fault occurs. Cleaning, insulation, mechanical tolerances, brake, cooling and connections are assessed in the laboratory; the work carried out is determined by the design of the device.
No fixed maintenance interval is given for every motor; the interval is agreed together with you based on the operating environment and load.
When is an assessment needed?
- Harsh operating environmentDust, humidity, oil or high temperature.
- No maintenance historyIt is unknown when the last maintenance was carried out.
- Change in temperature or vibrationBehaviour has changed, even without an alarm.
- Heavy shift loadA continuously running line with a planned downtime window.
A symptom is not a diagnosis; the cause becomes clear during laboratory diagnosis.
Maintenance scope
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Cleaning and visual inspection | External and internal surfaces, connectors and cable entries. |
| Insulation and electrical measurement | Winding condition and connection resistances. |
| Mechanical tolerances | Check of bearings, shaft and brake mechanics. |
| Cooling and connections | Fan, cooling surfaces, connectors and grounding. |
Maintenance result and delivery
At the end of maintenance, the motor is run under suitable conditions and the findings are shared in a short summary. No parts are replaced without approval; if maintenance reveals a finding that requires repair, it is reported separately.
Quotation, approval and delivery process
Registration
We record the device details and symptoms and send you a reference number.
Analysis
The fault is diagnosed in the laboratory, so it is clear what has failed.
Quotation and approval
Scope and price are confirmed in writing; nothing is done without your approval.
Repair
The repair is carried out within the approved scope; you are informed of any deviation.
Testing and delivery
The device is tested under suitable conditions and returned with a short technical summary.
Preparing for shipment
For batch maintenance, stating the number of devices and the planned downtime period in the request form makes planning easier. A schedule is not mandatory; a free-form planning note is enough.
Frequently asked
The items in the scope table are applied according to the design of the device; the list of work is provided in writing in the quotation.
You are informed of the finding; no repair is started without your approval.
Yes. Simply share the quantity and your downtime period.
