Service overview

Noise, vibration, overheating, seizing and surface quality problems in high-speed spindle motors are assessed on the basis of measurement. The definitive root cause is determined at diagnosis; a symptom is not treated as a diagnosis.

Whether the scope covers the motor or an integrated spindle unit is clarified in your request; it is not assumed that every device has a drawbar.

02

Which symptoms call for an assessment?

  • Noise and vibrationNoise or shaking that increases with speed.
  • OverheatingRising temperature in the housing or bearing area.
  • SeizingThe shaft does not turn freely or is stiff.
  • Surface qualityMarks, waviness or dimensional deviation on the machined part.

A symptom is not a diagnosis; the cause becomes clear during laboratory diagnosis.

03

Work performed

The work performed depends on the device design and the diagnosis.
AreaDescription
Bearings and bearing seatsAssessment of wear and play; replacement with appropriate precision.
BalancingBalancing of the rotating assembly.
WindingElectrical measurement and insulation check.
Cooling and tool clampingCooling channels; the tool clamping mechanism, if the device has one.
04

Analysis and testing approach

A gradual run-up is carried out at the speed and under the operating conditions permitted by the model; vibration and temperature are checked. This page contains no invented micron or speed values; results are reported specifically for each device.

We do not promise “zero vibration”. The assessment is based on measurement; for planned maintenance, see Spindle Motor Maintenance.

Quotation, approval and delivery process

  1. Registration

We record the device details and symptoms and send you a reference number.

  2. Analysis

The fault is diagnosed in the laboratory, so it is clear what has failed.

  3. Quotation and approval

Scope and price are confirmed in writing; nothing is done without your approval.

  4. Repair

The repair is carried out within the approved scope; you are informed of any deviation.

  5. Testing and delivery

The device is tested under suitable conditions and returned with a short technical summary.

06

Preparing for shipment

State the cooling type (air / water) and, if known, the rated speed. Numerical technical fields are not mandatory; a photo is sufficient.
